WHAT'S GOING ON - Updated 6/1/06 I'm back playing with my buddies in the River City Band, an excellent dance/party variety band based in Clark County, WA. We do the standard rock n' roll and funky dance tunes- in fact we do everything in pop music from jazz standards to Green Day and Maroon 5. There is a high standard of musicianship in the band, and it is a pleasure to play with these guys. Plus all four bandsmen sing lead and backups, so we have great vocal variety. Who is Bill Larimer? Good question...I'm a keyboard player, singer and songwriter among other things, based in SW Washington. I studied classical piano on up through the SF Conservatory of Music while I was also playing club dates around the Bay Area, then moved to Portland OR where I played in bands like "Piece o Cake" (now the Design Band), "The Flyers" blues band, and the "Scott Steele Band". I also was a chief conspirator, instigator and audio producer for Portland's finest improvising orchestra, an 11-piece collection of brilliant misfits called The Gone Orchestra.
